All-Major League Lacrosse Team for 2016 Announced

Boston, MA (August 19, 2016)- Major League Lacrosse has announced this year's 2016 All-MLL Team Presented by New Balance. The roster is voted on by MLL head coaches and general managers and is comprised of some of the best talent in the league, all of whom stood out at their respective positions.

The 2016 All-MLL Team was determined by a submission process in which MLL head coaches and general managers selected 1 goalie, 1 faceoff specialist, 3 midfielders, 4 defensemen, and 4 attack players. Those players selected the most per position comprise the All-MLL Team.

Attack

Jordan Wolf - Rochester Rattlers
The 2015 Warrior Offensive Player of the Year, Jordan Wolf, had another great offensive season for the Rattlers. Wolf played in 11 games this season and finished with 34 goals and 14 assists for a total of 48 points. His 48 points put him 11th on the MLL scoring list and in a tie for first place on the Rattlers. In Week 9, Wolf scored a season-high and career-high 10 points (6G, 4A) against the Denver Outlaws. The following week he was named the Coca-Cola Player of the Game for his seven-point game against the Machine.

Rob Pannell - New York Lizards
The 2016 scoring leader and Warrior Offensive Player of the Year, Rob Pannell, had another remarkable year for the Lizards. Finishing with 42 goals and 32 assists for a total of 74 points, Pannell helped lead his Lizards team to an 8-6 regular season record and a berth in the MLL Playoffs. Pannell also broke the MLL scoring record, previously set at 72 points. Pannell was awarded the Coca-Cola Player of the Game and Warrior Offensive Player of the Week honors twice this season.

Kevin Rice - Atlanta Blaze
Rounding out the ALL-MLL attackman is Atlanta Blaze attacker Kevin Rice. Rice exploded for 37 goals and 21 assists for a total of 58 points in just nine games. Despite only playing in nine games due to injury, Rice still finished the season leading the Blaze in points and tied for fourth on the MLL scoring list. Rice tallied at least four points in every game and averaged 6.4 points per game. He scored a season-high eight points during three separate games this season.

Faceoff Specialist

Greg Gurenlian - New York Lizards
Greg Gurenlian, the 2015 and 2016 FOAthlete of the Year, dominated at the "X" again this season. Gurenlian finished the regular season with 263 faceoff wins out of a possible 457 attempts for a 57.5% win percentage. Gurenlian played in 13 of the 14 games for the Lizards, picking up 142 groundballs along the way.

Midfield

Tom Schreiber - Ohio Machine
The 2016 Coca-Cola Most Valuable Player, Tom Schreiber, has clear vision on the field to set up his teammates. Schreiber finished the regular season with 60 points from 23 goals, including a two-pointer, and 36 assists. Schreiber's 60 points ranks first among Machine teammates and third among scoring leaders for the season. His league-leading 36 assists also ranks seventh for the single-season assists record.

Paul Rabil - New York Lizards
The nine-year veteran, midfielder Paul Rabil, had another great offensive season by finishing with 72 points, tying his career-high. Rabil scored 43 goals, including six two-pointers, and dished out 23 assists. His 72 points put him second on the MLL and Lizards scoring list, just two points behind teammate, Pannell. Rabil tallied a point in every game this season and averaged 5.14 points per game. Rabil was awarded the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week honors twice this season.
