Cannons Come Back by Fall to Ohio in OT

Columbus, Ohio (June 10, 2017) The Boston Cannons impressive fourth quarter comeback against the Ohio Machine fell just short as the team couldn't hold onto their momentum in a nail-biting 13-12 overtime loss in Ohio.

Will Manny and Max Seibald led the Cannons with three points each on the night. Davey Emala, Kevin Buchanan and Scott Bieda all had two points.

The defensive performance by the Cannons was strong as goalie Tyler Fiorito seems to be getting hot at the right time for the team and had many key saves keeping the Cannons in the game. Fiorito had 13 saves on 26 shots in the game.

Opposing goaltender, Kyle Bernlohr had a very impressive night of his own. Bernlohr made 10 saves on 21 shots on goal. The shot on goal total was a difference maker in the game tonight.

For the Machine, Peter Baum and Tom Schreiber led the way with four points on the night. Mark Cockerton, Marcus Holman and Jake Bernhardt contributed three points for the Machine.

The Cannons controlled the ground ball and faceoff battle. Cannons faceoff man Joe Nardella was 15-28 at the faceoff x. For the Machine, newly drafted Kevin Reisman out of Limestone College finished the night 12-26 at the x. The team total for groundballs was 44 to 40 in favor of the Cannons.

The Cannons tough luck continues but the season still has a lot to offer in a very close middle of the pack as the team enters the second half of the season. Their next game will be on the road against the Denver Outlaws.
