Post Adds Five Lacrosse Recruits for the 2019 Season

WATERBURY, Conn. The Post University women's lacrosse team is excited to add five newcomers for the 2019 season.

Christina Badaracco
Hometown: Deer Park, N.Y.
High School: Half Hollow Hills High School West
Intended Major: Psychology
Badaracco has been playing lacrosse since she was four years old. She started on her town team and played there for nine years. In seventh grade, she began playing summer lacrosse for Team 91. The next year she switched to Express Lacrosse, who she currently plays. Badaracco made the JV lacrosse team for her high school as an eighth grader and was moved up to varsity her sophomore year where she has been ever since.

Eleni Bedard
Hometown: Fredrick, Md.
High School: Saint John's Catholic Prep
Intended Major: Sport Management
Bedard has been playing lacrosse since the fourth grade. In November 2012, she began her club career with the Frederick Stars Lacrosse Club. Bedard made the Frederick County Middle School All-Star team in 2014 and then went on to play varsity at Saint John's Catholic Prep. She was one of just two freshman starters at St. John's Prep and in her sophomore year was awarded the team's Unsung Hero Award. She is a low defender and draw specialist. As a junior, Bedard led the Vikings in draw controls and was awarded Defensive Player of the Year and was also named to the all-county defensive team. While at St. John's Prep, she also played basketball, soccer and was a member of the indoor track team. Bedard ultimately decided on Post University because Coach Mills made her feel like family.

Morgan Cassiliano
Hometown: Staten Island, N.Y.
High School: New Dorp High School
Cassiliano has been a three-year varsity starter at midfield for New Dorp High School. She is an incredible athlete for the Cougars and shattered the single-season goal record at New Dorp in her junior year with 61 goals. Her outstanding play led to her receiving all-conference and all-borough honors in 2017.

Molly Dobratz
Hometown: Southington, Conn.
High School: Southington High School
Intended Major: Criminal Justice/Emergency Management and Homeland Security
Molly has played SHS lacrosse for all four years. Freshman year she received the Coaches Award for her attitude and energy on and off the field. Unfortunately, she tore her ACL her sophomore year, but worked hard to be ready for next season. Her junior year she earned a starting defense/midfield position and helped lead Southington to the playoffs with a 9-6 record and was selected for the Connecticut Super Juniors game. She has also played for the Connecticut Cardinals out of Wesleyan University during the summer. Dobratz is looking forward to a stellar senior lacrosse season at Southington and is very excited to attend Post University in 2018 and play for the Eagles!

Rachel Hayden
Hometown: North Brook, Mass.
High School: Tantasqua High School
Intended Major: Education
Hayden started playing boy's lacrosse in 2007 at age seven. After years of playing in that league, a team was made for girls in the area and Hayden made the switch, playing for the Tantasqua Warriors travel team up until high school. She also played club lacrosse for Lax Plus and Central Mass Lacrosse. Hayden has been a varsity starter at Tantasqua High School team since her sophomore year, playing nearly every position on the field, including her true passion, defense.
