Pollsters' Comments About Teams They Ranked
Salisbury: Showing some chinks in the armor, but so are a lot of teams. Still rolling along but cannot coast this season. (D-III) #1--Still on top, but did not dominate OWU. Giving up 10 goals and taking 13 penalties are not good signs. (general21111) Winning ... I guess we all are spoiled to the "Salisbury of old" ... the Gulls are looking more and more mortal as the weeks go by ... defense and goalies starting to raise a few eyebrows across the lax community. (goalielax10) Now 6-0 with a hard fought win over a good Ohio Wesleyan team. Should move to 8-0 after Marymount and Denison. Defense needs to improve. (laxie) Still in control #1. (minkhoo) Have not been tested by a top team but sure look strong. (Patlaxer) #1. OWU gave it their best shot. (Richard) Rolling, rolling, rolling ... hear that lax team rolling ... along. (stamp) #1 Still at the top but a close game with OWU shows they are not invincible. (stewlaxdad) O-who? gave them a game. Some questions in Gull land, but still #1. (thatsmell) So far, not the dominant team of last year but may "evolve." Play surprising Marymount this week, then Denison. (trains2154) Uncomfortable win against OWU. (valaxfan) #1: 6-0 but some close games. Not as good as Gull teams in the past but still #1. (wheniwasakid...) #1 as usual, but they just might be beatable this season. (Youngred)
Gettysburg: Still winning, barely. No offense yet. (corkscrew) Lucky to survive Villa Julie; will be tested this weekend against Haverford in a game that may decide the Centennial #1 seed (though WAC and Dickinson might have something to say about that). Goalie play could be a big question mark for the Bullets this season. (D-III) #2--Close wins over VJC and Denison. Entertains Haverford on 3/15. (general21111) Two solid wins against VJ and Denison ... A confident OWU squad comes to town, and then Haverford makes the move to PA in what could be the game of the week. (goalielax10) Two solid wins over Denison and Villa Julie. Will be undefeated going into the Haverford game. Defense playing well as the Bullets are off to a 3-0 start. (laxie) Starting the conference schedule with a bang on Saturday. #2. (minkhoo) Tougher then expected time with Villa Julie. (Patlaxer) #3. A step quicker than Denison. (Richard) 3-0, but not overly impressive outings. The upcoming game against Haverford looks to be a real truth teller. (stamp) #2 Close games with VJC and Denison. Team is still gelling but as all top teams do, they found a way to win. No gimmes this week vs. OWU and Haverford. (stewlaxdad) Good win over a pesky Villa Julie team. #2. (thatsmell) VJC gave Bullets all they could handle. Play surprising (against Salisbury only) OWU and then Haverford, where we learn if Haverford is top 10 for real. (trains2154) Bullets hang tough. (valaxfan) #3: 3-0 but some tough games are coming up. (wheniwasakid...) Too close for comfort against VJC, but they stay at #2 for this week. Monster conference game with Haverford on Saturday. (Youngred)
Cortland: Showdown with WNEC in a rematch of last year's NCAA game, this game could have huge implications on seeding in the North. (D-III) #4--Did not play this week. Entertains WNEC on 3/11. (general21111) Time off with the canceled games may actually help get the midfield in order. (goalielax10) The Dragons play WNEC on Tuesday. 10 days without a game with the Bears coming to town. How sharp will the Dragons' teeth be without something to chew on for the past 10 days? Too bad the weather knocked out the St. Lawrence game. (laxie) Toughie coming up with WNEC. #3. (minkhoo) Always start slow but will be ready in May. (Patlaxer) #2. (Richard) Holding my #2 ranking, but for how long ? Two big games against WNEC and St. Lawrence could change things. (stamp) #3 weather impacted their weekend just like the rest of the Northeast. (stewlaxdad) Good win over Stevens. #4. (thatsmell) No games this past week due to weather; great test this week w/ WNEC at home then Clarkson away. (trains2154) #4: Play six top 20 games in the next month. (wheniwasakid...) 1-0 with WNEC on Tuesday, I was looking forward to the St. Lawrence game. Hopefully they'll get it rescheduled. (Youngred)
Wesleyan: D jelling and offense passing. (boartusk) Their next three games will tell us all we need to know about the Cardinals, at Endicott, Nazareth, and at Tufts, wow! (D-III) #3--Demolished Babson in opener. Interesting game today at Endicott. (general21111) 1-0 as most would have figured. (goalielax10) The Cardinals made short work of Babson in bad weather. Endicott on Tuesday followed by Nazareth will tell the D-III world what Coach Raba has. (laxie) Opener out of the way, Three very tough ones coming up. #4. (minkhoo) Borrero starts off where Congleton left off. Next three games against NCAA teams will tell a lot. A very potent experienced offense. (Patlaxer) #4. (Richard) All the Cardinals saw the field against a much weaker Babson team racking up some easy offensive stats. Big difference starting today vs. a very good Endicott team followed by Nazareth. Card's first offensive midfield line could be the difference maker this season. (stamp) #5. Very solid win over Babson. (stewlaxdad) Flexed on Babson. Get to prove themselves against Endicott. #5. (thatsmell) "Bombed" Babson; has tough one against a somewhat underrated Endicott on Monday, there. (trains2154) Opens with easy win. (valaxfan) #2: Easy win over Babson. Naz areth and EC will tell us much more about how good the Cardinals really are. (wheniwasakid...) Endicott, Nazareth, and Tufts in their next three games. (Youngred)
Ithaca: Oneonta game gave us a glimpse of what the Bombers can do to teams this year. If the D continues to improve this is a scary team. (D-III) #5--Moves up as Lynchburg drops--crushed Oneonta. Traveling to Whittier today--could it be a "trap" game? (general21111) Off to the left coast for three games as they try and roll into the HUGE 3/22 game with Cortland undefeated. (goalielax10) A 17-4 win over Oneonta had the Bombers flying. A West Coast swing for three games. Whittier on Monday will test the Bombers early. (laxie) Won't be seriously tested until March 22. #6. (minkhoo) Could this be their year in the E8 with a young Nazareth and weak RIT? (Patlaxer) #5. (Richard) Good start for the Bombers, who are 3-0. Let's see how they against better competition. (stamp) #7 Convincing 13-goal win over Oneonta. (stewlaxdad) Winning. #6. (thatsmell) Murdered outmanned Oneonta. No tests this week with Whittier, Drew. (trains2154) Team on the rise. (valaxfan) #6: Decent wins so far but not blowing teams out like a top 10 team should be. IC needs to watch out for Whittier. (wheniwasakid...) Yet to be tested but a very interesting game against Whittier on Monday. (Youngred)
Tufts: Survived injuries to two starters at attack in routing a down Skidmore team. (D-III) #6--Impressive opener against Skidmore. Props to Hessler for representing the Crusaders. (general21111) Freshman Hessler impressed in the win vs. Skidmore. (goalielax10) A strong showing (12-3) against an improved Skidmore (so said 3lax40) in the opener. Next two games against Eastern Ct. and Williams should add to the win total. (laxie) Strong in opener. #7. (minkhoo) Strong start against Skidmore with a more open offense. Game with Wesleyan in a couple of weeks is huge. (Patlaxer) #14. Put a whuppin an a decent Skidmore team. (Richard) Offensive looked very good against an over-matched Skidmore squad. This team has many offensive options. Could be better than last year. Better match-ups against Williams and Roanoke on the horizon. (stamp) #6 Nice win over Skidmore, with EConn on the slate this week. (stewlaxdad) Handled Skidmore. #9. (thatsmell) Impressive opening win without high goal scorer and another starting attackman from last year. But frosh Hessler had a "career type day" in his first college game!!! Jumbos have Eastern Ct. and Williams this week. (trains2154) #9: Solid win against a Skidmore team they have had close games with the past few years. (wheniwasakid...) Chalk against Skidmore, their schedule gets tougher in the next two weeks, with Williams, 'Noke, and Wesleyan coming up. (Youngred)
Western New England: A lot of doubters out there, and WNEC has a chance to prove them all wrong as they travel to Cortland. (D-III) #9--Moves ahead of Middlebury based on comparison of score against Bates. at Cortland on 3/11. (general21111) Going to Cortland on Tuesday, definitely no easy task. (goalielax10) The Bears had their game against Hartwick ppd (a rather frequent word this weekend). A lot of credit to Coach Klepacki in terms of playing Cortland and Nazareth back to back. Winning back to back will be a test. (laxie) Showdown trip to Cortland on Tuesday. #5. (minkhoo) Defense looks great. Will there be enough offense? (Patlaxer) #7. (Richard) Off to a good start as expected. The Golden Bears are for real. (stamp) #8 Confrontation with Cortland delayed to this week; need a good showing in that game. (stewlaxdad) Winning with defense. #3. (thatsmell) Ripped through Nichols and Hartwick game postponed. To Cortland on Wednesday, which should tell us about both teams. (trains2154) #5: Cortland game on 3/11 will tell us more. (wheniwasakid...) Hartwick, Cortland, and Nazareth in the next three games. I'm still on the fence whether or not they are as good as last year. (Youngred)
Middlebury: Close call vs. Bates, but Bates is usually strong in early season, and Middlebury gets stronger as the season goes on. (boartusk) Not that impressive vs. Bates, but it's early. Lots of goals given up. (corkscrew) Survived game one of a five-game road trip. Struggled on D in their scrimmages, and it continued against Bates. (D-III) #10--Opened with close win over Bates. (general21111) Close call at Bates. Have to get ready to go to C.C., a team they only beat by one a year ago at home. (goalielax10) A 14-12 final against a good Bates team proves that the Panthers have teeth. Defense needs to tighten up. (laxie) Won't have a home game until late March. #8. (minkhoo) As good as they always are BUT Wesleyan and Tufts have caught up. (Patlaxer) #12. Open with a win. (Richard) The Panthers slid by Bates 14-12 in their opener. They looked rusty as expected at both ends of the field, but they did enough to pull out the victory. (stamp) #11 Season finally started this week with a one-goal win over a solid Bates squad. (stewlaxdad) Won vs. Bates. (thatsmell) Impressive for three quarters against Bates, there, but not in 4th. At Conn College this week. (trains2154) Almost let the cat out of the bag but starts out nicely with Bates win. (valaxfan) #7: Two-goal win over Bates raises some questions. (wheniwasakid...) Beat Bates as expected, but it wasn't easy. (Youngred)
Haverford: OT win over Lynchburg will be key later in the season. (boartusk) Great win over Lynchburg. (corkscrew) Nice win against the Hornets, but not time to rest as they play a much more important game against conference rival Gettysburg this weekend. (D-III) #8--Moves up three places with impressive showing versus Lynchburg. No rest for the Squirrels - at Gettysburg on 3/15. (general21111) Fleishhacker has 11g and 3a in one week - eh, not bad, not bad at all ... Eastern then big big big big big big big big game against the Bullets. (goalielax10) The Black Squirrels have now become 3lax40's favorite team. A great program overtime win has the Squirrels in the top 20. (laxie) Very strong start sets up an early conference showdown at Gettysburg. #11. (minkhoo) Exposed the weaknesses with LC but can their defense improve? (Patlaxer) #6. Big win vs. Lynchburg moves the Fords into the top 10. (Richard) Big time OT win against Lynchburg. (stamp) #13 Stock raised with OT victory over Lyncburg. Centennial war starts Saturday at Gettysburg. (stewlaxdad) Squeaked by a tough Lynchburg team. #8. (thatsmell) Enters my top 10. We will see if they can continue to belong there when they visit Gettysburg this week. (trains2154) Great win for Coach Murphy and team against the Hornets. (valaxfan) #8: Very strong start. Could be a real Southern contender to get to Foxboro. (wheniwasakid...) Squirrels keep answering the questions; Gettysburg will be another one on Saturday. (Youngred)
Cabrini: How good is this team? (corkscrew) Will be untested until Gettysburg comes to town in two weeks. (D-III) #11--Moves up one place due to drop of RIT. Should handle HSC this week. (general21111) Gettysburg will be coming soon enough ... have to take care of Eastern and Sydney first. (goalielax10) The Cavaliers are off to a 2-0 start. Eastern and Hampden-Sydney precede the Gettysburg battle. (laxie) Still winning. #15. (minkhoo) Strong start. (Patlaxer) #8. (Richard) Hiding in the weeds at 2-0. Where do they go from here against the better squads ? (stamp) #15 Continued good season with a 9-goal win over Greensboro. (stewlaxdad) Dispatched of Greensboro and Noke this past week. #7. (thatsmell) Still riding crest of win at Roanoke. Has Eastern and H/S this week. Latter, there, could be a test depending if team that appears "down" this year can redeliver on pre-season expectations. (trains2154) #10: Very solid start. (wheniwasakid...) Very strong team. HSC on Saturday followed by G'burg on the 19th. Can't wait for that one. (Youngred)
Lynchburg: Already two in-region losses. Another slip up and they are in deep trouble. (corkscrew) Will need to work their way back up in the rankings, as the Hornets reputation at this point is based on two "good" losses. Weak schedule dooms Pool C chances. (D-III) #7--Drops four places with OT loss at Haverford. I have ranked the Hornets one place ahead of Haverford since the loss was in OT and on the road. (general21111) Another heartbreaking loss. (goalielax10) The Hornets are now 2-2, with two one-goal losses to Salisbury and then Haverford. The experience on the defense seems to have some pitfalls. (laxie) Another close-but-no-cigar road game. #12. (minkhoo) Many thought this team was overrated in pre-season polls. Must beat Noke to be legitimate. (Patlaxer) #10. Lynchburg has to win the close ones. (Richard) The Hornets have struggled. Their 2-2 record is not indicative of the talent on this team. Their OT loss to Haverford was a setback. (stamp) #9 Solid wins thru Neumann then stumble vs. an up-and-coming Haverford team. Which is the real Lynchburg? (stewlaxdad) Tough losses to SU and now Haverford. #10. (thatsmell) Team drops down. Then again, have never been quite as high on them as some others. We will see. (trains2154) Tough road loss to the Black Squirrels. (valaxfan) #16: Two losses but both to strong teams. (wheniwasakid...) Heartbreaking loss to Haverford in what has to be the game of the year so far, and I'll bet it won't be topped. Lynchburg is flat out an outstanding team. (Youngred)
Roanoke: Great week for the Maroons. Battling through many key injuries. (corkscrew) Still trying to find their identity. Problems continued when they struggled against a down RIT team at home, but they appeared to turn things around against St. Mary's. (D-III) #16--Win over RIT a little tarnished with bigger RIT loss to Union. Nice win at St. Mary's. Interesting game vs. Dickinson on 3/15. (general21111) May have gotten their "swagger" back with a huge win at St. Mary's. (goalielax10) Two wins over St. Mary's and RIT have the Nokes looking forward to Dickinson. A tough Kenyon will be a pacesetter for this game. (laxie) Starting to find the right gear. #17. (minkhoo) Has been the class of the ODAC for the last couple of years, and I see no change this year. (Patlaxer) #9. Two good wins. The rotations are coming around. (Richard) The Maroons are quietly getting back into form. Solid victory over St. Mary's. (stamp) #4 As expected, Noke is starting to rebound with two wins this week. They need to continue with Kenyon and Dickinson this week. (stewlaxdad) Up one to #12 with solid win over St. Mary's. With upcoming games, out-of-conference schedule shaping up to be better than originally thought. #12. (thatsmell) Nice win over St. Mary's. Have Kenyon and Dickinson this week. (trains2154) Couple of good wins for the Noke train. (valaxfan) #18: We will learn more about what kind of team Noke really is as the season progresses. (wheniwasakid...) Win over RIT suddenly doesn't look as good. Another team I'm really not sure about. Big game with Dickinson on Saturday followed by Tufts. Those two games may clear up the picture. (Youngred)
St. Lawrence: Hopefully won't get snowed out yet again ... since they play in FL! (boartusk) #13--Will they actually play a game this season? (general21111) Will they ever play a game?? (goalielax10) Too many athletes to drop this team. Two games ppd due to weather to include a much awaited battle vs. Cortland. They drive all the way to Cortland on Friday just to get back on the bus and go home without either a win or loss. It will be tough with Bowdoin and Salisbury back to back. (laxie) By the time the Saints play the first game, Salisbury will have played eight games. #10. (minkhoo) #11. Will not play till the 17th. Not good. (Richard) The tilt against Cortland was postponed so let's wait and see. (stamp) #12 Schedule hit by the weekend storm. (stewlaxdad) Get a test in Bowdoin, then Salisbury. (thatsmell) Team has yet to play a game w/ Cortland postponement. So ... hard to judge. (trains2154) #11. Larries could be the real deal. (wheniwasakid...) Yet to play their first game. (Youngred)
Washington College: OT win vs. W&L could be important come Pool C time. (boartusk) One-goal win vs. Washington & Lee? Colorado College beat them worse. Still not a believer in Shoremen yet. (corkscrew) Should roll the next couple of weeks and enter the Haverford game at 8-0. (D-III) #17--Nice OT win on the road versus the Generals. (general21111) Ground out a win at W&L ... starting to look like the WAC of old. (goalielax10) The Shoremen are off to a 4-0 start with an 11-10 win over a desperate W&L. Should win four in a row before Haverford. (laxie) Tough road win, playing well. #14. (minkhoo) Off to a great start but W&L too close. (Patlaxer) #16. Good win vs. W&L. WAC is getting into a good groove. (Richard) At 4-0 this team continues to do enough to win. OT victory against W&L could propel this team further. (stamp) #10 Won their first real test versus W&L ... barely. Start the conference slate this week vs. Muhlenberg. (stewlaxdad) Finally break in with tough OT road win at W&L. #20. (thatsmell) Reenters my top 20 after a long absence. Nice win over W&L. No real test this week w/ Muhlenberg. (trains2154) Gritty win against the Generals. (valaxfan) #20: Six-goal win over VWC looks better and better. (wheniwasakid...) Passed the test against W&L and unlikely to be tested in their next four games. (Youngred)
Nazareth: Must be very anxious to get some games played instead of watching it snow. Florida will be a welcome sight. (boartusk) #14--Win over Springfield looking bigger. (general21111) Survived a scrappy Springfield team ... I know it's early, but game vs. Geneseo may tell us a lot about this team. (goalielax10) Weather did not allow the Golden Flyers to test themselves against Geneseo. Tuesday will go a long way for the Flyers, as they play Geneseo. A trip to Florida has the Randallmen playing Western New England and Wesleyan back to back. Great scheduling!! (laxie) Expect another close one on Tuesday. #9. (minkhoo) Young, talented, fast, and well coached. In a down year in the E8, don't count them out. (Patlaxer) #18. (Richard) Three big games coming up against Geneseo, followed by Wesleyan and WNEC in Florida. (stamp) #14 Another storm casualty this week. Test upcoming vs. Geneseo. (stewlaxdad) Good win over Springfield. Have a good match-up with Geneseo coming up. (thatsmell) Good test w/ Geneseo at home this week. (trains2154) #13: Strong schedule keeps them in, but they need to win these games to stay here. (wheniwasakid...) Geneseo, Wesleyan, and WNEC in their next four games will tell us if they've filled the holes from last year. (Youngred)
Endicott: Have a great chance to elevate their program by knocking off top-5 Wesleyan. (D-III) #12--Wins over Springfield looking bigger. Entertain Weselyan today. (general21111) With a win on Monday, people will have no choice but to start taking notice. (goalielax10) The Power Gulls move up in the power polls with a 3-0 start. Wesleyan on Tuesday will decide how far the other Gulls will fly. Deli Dave likes the Gulls' chances on Tuesday. (laxie) Wesleyan visit will be fun to watch. #19. (minkhoo) This team is for real and improves every year. Huge test Monday against Wesleyan at home. (Patlaxer) #13. (Richard) The Power Gulls are 3-0 and are waiting for the Wesleyan Cardinals to come to their nest. This is an early season match-up that has playoff implications. (stamp) #19. (stewlaxdad) Can jump up a lot with a win over Wesleyan. #16. (thatsmell) Big game w/ Wesleyan at home Monday. Can these Gulls get "over the hump"?? (trains2154) #14: Need to win or be very competitive with Wesleyan to stay this high. (wheniwasakid...) 3-0 with Wesleyan on Monday, a huge game for both teams. (Youngred)
Geneseo: #18--Impressive opening win against Utica. (general21111) Easy win vs. Utica ... early season test vs. Nazareth. (goalielax10) The only win is a 15-6 win over Utica. Tried to play on Saturday and then Sunday against Nazareth. They will play the Flyers on Tuesday. Deli Dave eagerly awaits this clash of the two Rochester powerhouses. (laxie) A tough game looms at Nazareth on Tuesday. #13. (minkhoo) #17. (Richard) Still could be a sleeper team. Too early to tell. How will they do against Nazareth ? (stamp) #16 Real test coming this week vs. Nazareth. (stewlaxdad) Big test at Nazareth this week. (trains2154) #12. (wheniwasakid...) Nazareth on Tuesday is their first test. (Youngred)
Villa Julie: Should have beaten the Bullets but let it slip away. Dangerous team. (corkscrew) Had the Bullets on the ropes but could not put them away. The Mustangs find themselves in the mix for a Pool C bid, great job by the coaching staff building this team up so quickly. (D-III) #15--Moves up two places based on Gettysburg game and solid win over Ursinus. (general21111) Mustangs are "putting the pedal to the metal" of late. (goalielax10) Coach Catabene has the Mustangs kicking as they kick out to a 3-1 start. Their only blemish a one-goal loss to Gettysburg. (laxie) Hung tough with Gettysburg. #18. (minkhoo) Great effort against Gettysburg. (Patlaxer) #15. A very strong team. I expect them to be moving up steadily through the season. (Richard) #18 Gave G'burg all they wanted last week. Lots of promise for this squad if they clean up the little things that were the difference in that game. (stewlaxdad) Good wins over mid-tier teams but still no win over a top team. #17. (thatsmell) Have to move this team way up on strength of performance against Gettysburg, there. Has Mary Washington this week. (trains2154) #15: Only loss is by one goal to G-burg. Within another week or two could be top 10 material. (wheniwasakid...) Tough loss to G'burg, but a program on the rise, #14. (Youngred)
Springfield: #23. Good win over Ducks. (Richard) Could the Pride make a comeback ? (stamp) #17 Good wins vs. Gordon and Stevens last week. (stewlaxdad) Nice win over Stevens. Face always decent Amherst at home this week. (trains2154) #17. (wheniwasakid...) Great win vs. Stevens. They've played a very tough early schedule, which may help later. Amherst and Middlebury this week. (Youngred)
RIT: Two losses in a row. (boartusk) Rough spring trip for the Tigers. Union?? This is a good team. Interesting to see what happens to them. (corkscrew) #25--Loss to Union drops RIT out of my top 20. (general21111) Loss to Noke understandable but Union? (Patlaxer) Bad loss to a rising Union team drops them considerably. (Youngred)
Union: Don't look now but ... the Dutchmen are coming, the Dutchmen are coming. (goalielax10) Yes, Union is off to a 3-0 start with a win over former top 20 RIT. Coach Wehrum has the Dutchmen believing they can be a top 20 team. (laxie) The Dutchmen step into the top 20 with a bang. #16. (minkhoo) #19. Into the top 20 sooner than expected. We will see if they can keep it up. (Richard) Good win over RIT. Could be undefeated when they face Ithaca in April. (thatsmell) #24 with a huge win over RIT. Keep an eye on this team. (Youngred)
Dickinson: Appear to be the #4 team in the strong Centennial. Important game upcoming against Roanoke. (D-III) Another Centennial team making some noise with a 4-0 start. (laxie) Schedule strength starts to ramp up now. #20. (minkhoo) #25. 4-0 vs. some decent competition. Noke is up and will be telling. (Richard) Going into a game with Noke undefeated. #19. (thatsmell) 4-0 against average competition, but they've done what they have to. (Youngred)
Keene State: #19--Win over Bates compares favorably to Middlebury win over Bates. (general21111) Maybe the best in the Little East? (minkhoo) #22. Start season with a good win. (Richard) The Owls have been knocking on the door for a while. (stamp) Team looks good but very weak schedule in AND out of conference. (wheniwasakid...)
Colorado College: #23--Interesting game with RPI today. (general21111) At home until nearly April. #21. (minkhoo) Undefeated. #18. Good test from Rensselaer coming this week. (thatsmell) No top-20 teams on their schedule makes it hard to rank them when they are still an unknown commodity. Good win over W&L. (wheniwasakid...) #21, Monday they play RPI but going forward they have a very favorable schedule. They have a chance to post a lofty record. (Youngred)
Hartwick: #21--Could move into my top 20 with good showing versus WNEC. (general21111) The rivalry is finally renewed in the regular season as 'Wick hosts Oneonta before heading to Rochester on Saturday. (goalielax10) I wish the game with WNEC wasn't ppd! (thatsmell)
Trinity: Out of the gate strongly. #23. (minkhoo) Win over Drew no surprise. Bates and Villa Julie in the next week and a half will tell a lot about this up-and-coming team. (Youngred)
Stevens: #24--Drops out of my top 20 with Springfield loss. (general21111) As always can't seem to beat the ranked teams. (Patlaxer) Lost out to Springfield but has played two good teams very tough. (trains2154) #19: Close losses so far but finding way to remain competitive with the loss of Oreskovich to injury. (wheniwasakid...)
Ohio Wesleyan: #20. Gettysburg had better be prepared. OWU is a decent team. (Richard)
Bowdoin: The Polar Bears could surprise. Solid victory against Conn. College. (stamp) Good win over an up-and-coming Conn. College team. Defense is the strength here. Could be a NESCAC contender by season's end as offense progresses. (wheniwasakid...)
Washington & Lee: #20 Came oh so close against WAC this week. Face another Centennial foe in F&M this week. (stewlaxdad)
Denison: #20--Moves into my top 20 with losses by Stevens and RIT and close game (relatively) with Gettysburg. At Salisbury on 3/16. (general21111) Still the best of the NCAC #22. (minkhoo) #21. (Richard)
Other Teams Pollsters Considered (and comments, if any)
Whittier: #22--Interesting game with Ithaca today. (general21111) Looking to surprise the Bombers out on the Left Coast. #25. (minkhoo) 5-0 and the Bombers are coming to visit. #21. (thatsmell) At 5-0, they must be considered. Monday against Ithaca will tell the story. (Youngred)
Rensselaer: #24. (Richard)
Goucher: 3-0. Leaving the CAC may have been a great move. Looking strong in the Landmark. (thatsmell)
Swarthmore: Good win over Merchant Marine Academy. Undefeated. #25. (thatsmell)
Virginia Wesleyan: Six-goal loss to WAC hurts but VWC is looking good. (wheniwasakid...)
